Survey conquer another partner

On the last day March 22, the Survey Control signed to Queiroz Galvão-for dimensional control of Petrobras P-58 platform (FPSO). In this new challenge, the Survey Control will be responsible for creating referencing coordinates of every ship, dimensional control Best-Fit for Modules, Pipe-Racks and Stools.

The development of Petrobras (P-58) is being implemented by the contractor Queiroz Galvão the site located on the south pier of Porto Novo Rio Grande / RS. In addition to the hull conversion, integration of modules built in Rio de Janeiro cities of Niterói and Itaguaí will be held. Upon completion, the P-58 will be installed on Blue Whale field in the state of Espirito Santo, about 80 kilometers offshore in water depths of 1,400 meters.

Floating unit FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading), the platform will be able to produce, process, store and drain oil, with 180 thousand barrels of oil / day production capacity of 6 million cubic meters compression of gas / day, water injection of 350,000 barrels / day and accommodation for 110 people. The termination of the services in Rio Grande and the output of Porto Novo are planned for June 2013. In total, the investment in the construction of the P-58 is estimated at 1.34 billion dollars, with high national implementation rate due to realization the construction of modules, hull conversion, and integration are performed in Brazil.
